24th Annual "Big Blue Blowout" - Coaches training
24th Big Blue Blowout will be hosted in Bloomington-Normal. BBB is an opportunity for coaches to attend multiple sport trainings and coach education courses in one weekend. BBB is a great opportunity to meet, network, and swap best practices with other coaches from around the state.

Completion of coach certification for each sport is highly recommended but not yet required.  However, the Coaches Education System is also a means of tracking certification and rewarding those who continue their sport education.  Coaches interested in serving as a USA Games or World Games coach for Team Illinois or Special Olympics USA must be certified in the sport they are applying for.

*To ensure a t-shirt please register by Wednesday, September 11.

*Friendly reminder, this will be the last Big Blue offered before the 2026 USA Games Coach
applications will be due.  Current certification is required in all sports a coach is applying for.

• We will be starting Saturday October 12th at the Scheve Park @ 10:30AM  Assessments will take place on this date.

Dance Company Starts!!!  Note from Kati Hassall
Some changes have been made to the schedule. Please note these changes for your scheduling purposes:

• *Small group instruction was REMOVED
• Elementary, 5:00-5:30
• Jazz/Tap/Hip Hop, 5:30 - 6:30 (This is a CHANGE. I combined the jazz/tap and jazz/hip hop, because it was basically all the same people. This class will now be on a tri-weekly rotation. Please come when you want to take class and if you don't want to take that certain style that week, then you won't come and won't be charged. I will post/email what style we are doing that week. This class will all use the same recital costume, meaning you will have ONE costume for tap/jazz/hip hop).
• Ballet/Flexibility, 6:35-7:05
• Competition Team, 7:05 - 7:35

I appreciate everyone's flexibility with this. This has been a year of change for our family, and with my son in school, some stuff needed to be cut down in order to make sure he is getting what he needs at night.

That being said, I am more than happy to accept parent volunteers to help me in the studio! If you'd ever like to just sit in and be an extra pair of eyes, I would be forever grateful.
