👥 Arts Committee Meeting 

• Registration will begin soon after a few more approvals
• We are planning on having the dance season start September 15th

👥 Finance Committee Meeting - September 4th

• Finance Committee approved the purchase of new footballs for flag football, new volleyballs for Skills, and new chest protector and batting tee for softball.
• Finance Committee elected to move to a bi-monthly meetings vs. quarterly to allow for great efficiency.
• Our next meeting has been scheduled for Thursday Sept 4th from 6:30-8:30.

⚽ Sports Updates & Opportunities

With the extreme heat effecting sport schedules this week, please check your email, Facebook or contact your coach directly before you leave for any practice or event to confirm it is still happening.  

👉 As always, please stay hydrated, take breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas, and follow all heat safety protocols. Your well-being is our top priority.

Requirements to Participate in WLTG Sports:

1. WLTG membership
2. Registered in the Special Olympics Digital CoE Portal
3. Completed WLTG Waiver & Release

📢 Bowling Practice

• Bowling this Sunday @ August 24th @ 6:00PM at the Bel Air Bowl
• Please let Coach Lisa or Mari know if your athlete will not be there.  
• Interested in helping or to be a unified partner, you will need to get registered as a Special Olympics 

⛳ Golf Practice

• Golf practice will be this Thursday, August 21st | Orchards Golf Course
• Be aware of possible weather cancelation due to excessive heat / Stay hydrated!

🏈 Flag Football Practice

• Scrimmage with PTOEC & Mascoutah on Tuesday,  August 19th | Tuesday @ 5:45 to 6:45PM held at Swansea Moose Lodge baseball field -- (Bring plenty of water and lawn chairs)
• Be aware of possible weather cancelation due to excessive heat / Stay hydrated!

🥎 Softball Practice (NEW LOCATION)

• Mondays @ 6PM held at Shiloh Field B in the Shiloh Community Park.
  • It is located behind the Shiloh Senior Center that is located at 7 Park Drive Shiloh, IL 62269.   
  • The field is on the other side of Seibert Road.
• Be aware of possible weather cancelation due to excessive heat / Stay hydrated!
• State: September 6 (if qualified)

🏐 Volleyball Practice / Tournament

• Competitive & Modified Volleyball Scrimmage this Wednesday, Aug. 20th @ 5:30PM at Lindenwood University in Belleville.  Wear black shorts and bring water.
• Skills Volleyball Practice is this Thursday, August 21st @ 6PM & 7PM | Leu Civic Center
• Regional Volleyball Qualifier - Region I Volleyball Tournament will be Sunday, September 21th.  Location will be Glenwood High School:  1501 Plummer Blvd, Chatham, IL 62629.  Skills, Competitive and Modified teams will all be included.  
  • ​Schedule:
    8:30am - registration - teams can start warming up for 1st matches
    9:00am - short opening ceremony in the main gym
    9:10am - Traditional & Unified team games begin in West Gym
    ·        Traditional & Modified Skills begin in East Gym
    ·        Modified Teams will play after completion of Skills.
