EXCITING NEWS – CONGRATULATIONS JORDAN!
We are thrilled to announce that Jordan DeRossett, Without Limits – Team Galaxy Bowling Athlete, has been chosen to compete at the 2025 Special Olympics USA Games!!
Jordan is 1 of 54 athletes selected for Team Illinois and 1 of 8 Illinois bowlers who will proudly represent our state. What an incredible honor! Jordan, we are so proud of you and cannot wait to follow your journey.

🎳 Bowling

• Regionals: Sunday, September 14 at St. Clair Bowl
  • Shift 1 Registration – 8:30 am: Females (singles, singles ramp), all doubles, teams, Young Athletes
  • Shift 2 Registration – 11:00 am: Males (singles, singles ramp)
• No practice Saturday, September 14 due to Regionals

🏐 Volleyball

• Clinic: Wednesday, September 10 from 6:00–7:30 pm at Althoff High School
• Skills Practice: Thursday, September 11 at Leu Civic Center​
• Regional Volleyball Qualifier - Region I Volleyball Tournament will be Sunday, September 21th.  Location will be Glenwood High School:  1501 Plummer Blvd, Chatham, IL 62629.  Skills, Competitive and Modified teams will all be included.  
  • ​Schedule:
    8:30am - registration - teams can start warming up for 1st matches
    9:00am - short opening ceremony in the main gym
    9:10am - Traditional & Unified team games begin in West Gym
    ·        Traditional & Modified Skills begin in East Gym
    ·        Modified Teams will play after completion of Skills. 

🏈 Flag Football

• Scrimmage: Monday, September 8 at 5:30 pm – Swansea Moose Lodge
• Regional Flag Football: Sunday, September 28

🏀 Basketball – Coming Soon!
We are preparing for the upcoming basketball season! Practices are tentatively set to begin in November, with sessions on Mondays and Thursdays.

• Mondays – Skills & Boys Teams
• Thursdays – Girls Teams (we expect to have 2 girls teams!)
• Location TBD

👉 Please let us know if you are interested in participating so we can finalize rosters and practice details.

💰 Finance Committee Update
Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting on Thursday, September 4.

• The committee continues to evaluate and approve fund requests.
• Our next meeting will be in November
