Go Beyond!!!
Without Limits Team Galaxy is wanting to hear from you , the people  of this great organization!

We are looking for nominations for a "Go Beyond Award " to be presented at the 2024 banquet . If you have a MEMBER in mind to nominate please email us and  let us know their name and what they did that showed a GO BEYOND spirit  ! Examples could be great sportsmanship or community involvement, It could be anything that YOU think made a difference . 

Contact Jennifer Otero to submit a nomination!   We'd love have all nominations in by October 1st.

NEEDED - Volunteers for Trenton Fund Raiser
​Trenton - October 18th & 19th  (WLTG) 
Sign up for the Trenton Fund Raiser for 18th & 19th of October. 

• We will be collecting change on the corner next to Dairy King
• We are seeking volunteers to work two hour shifts starting from 8:00 to 4:00 on Friday and 8AM to 12PM on Saturday.
• This is a great way to give back to the organization and get funds to keep our sports activities striving for gold.

24th Annual "Big Blue Blowout" - Coaches training
24th Big Blue Blowout will be hosted in Bloomington-Normal. BBB is an opportunity for coaches to attend multiple sport trainings and coach education courses in one weekend. BBB is a great opportunity to meet, network, and swap best practices with other coaches from around the state.

Completion of coach certification for each sport is highly recommended but not yet required.  However, the Coaches Education System is also a means of tracking certification and rewarding those who continue their sport education.  Coaches interested in serving as a USA Games or World Games coach for Team Illinois or Special Olympics USA must be certified in the sport they are applying for.

*To ensure a t-shirt please register by Wednesday, September 11.

*Friendly reminder, this will be the last Big Blue offered before the 2026 USA Games Coach
applications will be due.  Current certification is required in all sports a coach is applying for.

Floor Hockey Details

• Floor Hockey has started.  
  
• Assessments and game play this Saturday for paperwork completion.
• We need everyone this Saturday,  September 21st at 9:00 at the Mascoutah Leu Civic Center
• The Southern Illinois Ice Hawks have agreed to send coaches to assist with practices
• The team will consist of 15 athletes

Snow Shoe Details

• We will be starting Saturday September 28th at the Scheve Park @ 10:30AM

Flag Football

• Practices will be on Tuesdays at Laderman Park  at 6:00. 
• Regionals - will be in Mascoutah on 29 September
• State - will be in November 2, 2024

​Volleyball

• Congrats to all the skills Volleyball Skills players who medaled at Regionals. On to state!!!
  
• NOTICE -- Practice on Wednesday (Sept. 4))  at Grant Middle School from 6PM to 7PM

Bocce Ball

• Bocce has started.  Coach will contact with details.

Bowling

• Sectionals are scheduled for September 22nd @ St. Clair Bowling

We're bringing home 4 gold medalists from Volleyball Regionals!!!!! You girls rocked it!! We are so proud of you!!! Congratulations Without Limits - Team Galaxy Volleyball!!! Way to go Athletes!!! Thank you Coach Kelly for all your dedication!!!
