Without Limits Team Galaxy is wanting to hear from you , the people of this great organization!

We are looking for nominations for a "Go Beyond Award " to be presented at the 2024 banquet . If you have a MEMBER in mind to nominate please email us and let us know their name and what they did that showed a GO BEYOND spirit ! Examples could be great sportsmanship or community involvement, It could be anything that YOU think made a difference .

NEEDED - Volunteers for Trenton Fund Raiser
Trenton - October 18th & 19th (WLTG)
Sign up for the Trenton Fund Raiser for 18th & 19th of October.

We will be collecting change on the corner next to Dairy King
We are seeking volunteers to work two hour shifts starting from 8:00 to 4:00 on Friday and 8AM to 12PM on Saturday.
This is a great way to give back to the organization and get funds to keep our sports activities striving for gold.

24th Annual "Big Blue Blowout" - Coaches training
24th Big Blue Blowout will be hosted in Bloomington-Normal. BBB is an opportunity for coaches to attend multiple sport trainings and coach education courses in one weekend. BBB is a great opportunity to meet, network, and swap best practices with other coaches from around the state.

Completion of coach certification for each sport is highly recommended but not yet required. However, the Coaches Education System is also a means of tracking certification and rewarding those who continue their sport education. Coaches interested in serving as a USA Games or World Games coach for Team Illinois or Special Olympics USA must be certified in the sport they are applying for.

Registration: Complete the online registration form.
*To ensure a t-shirt please register by Wednesday, September 11.

*Friendly reminder, this will be the last Big Blue offered before the 2026 USA Games Coach
applications will be due. Current certification is required in all sports a coach is applying for.

Floor Hockey Details

Assessments and rosters are complete. Roster is closed.
Practice will be at Leu Civic Center at 9AM on Saturday (Oct 12).

Snow Shoe Details

We will be starting Saturday October 12th at the Scheve Park @ 10:30AM Assessments will take place on this date.

Flag Football

Congrats goes out to both teams!!! Both won Regionals this past weekend and qualified for State
Practice tomorrow at 6PM at Laderman.
Parents / Athletes: Contact Marcia or Floyd by tomorrow for hotel rooms for State
State - will be in November 2, 2024

Volleyball

Volleyball season is now complete. Thank you to all the athletes, coaches and assistances.

Bocce Ball

Bocce has started. Coach will contact with details.
Regionals will be in October

Congrats to all our bowlers who medaled at regionals!

Congratulations to BOTH Without Limits - Team Galaxy Flag Football Teams!!! First Place Regional State Champions and both teams STATE BOUND!! It was a wonderful day of football!! Thank you Special Olympics Illinois- Region J for such a great event and for including our Special Olympics Cheer Team. Such a fun day!!!
