🌟 A Busy Summer of Competition, Performances & Team Spirit!
Summer has been one of the busiest times of the year for Without Limits – Team Galaxy! From athletes qualifying for State competition, to dancers bringing home national championships, to our theater cast preparing for opening day, our athletes continue to amaze us every week.
As always, thank you to our families, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who make every opportunity possible.

Who Can Attend?
This event is open to individuals with special needs who are eligible to participate in Special Olympics.
You do not need to be currently enrolled in Special Olympics to attend; however, participants must meet Special Olympics eligibility requirements to participate in Without Limits – Team Galaxy events.

Congratulations to every one of our dancers who competed at the ADC National Competition in Chicago!
Every dancer represented Without Limits – Team Galaxy with confidence, determination, and incredible performances. Even better—everyone returned home with trophies!

🎳 USA Games Champion Spotlight
What an unforgettable week for Region J and Team Illinois!
A huge congratulations to Jordan Derossett, who represented Illinois at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.
Jordan brought home:
🥇 Gold — Individual Bowling
🥇 Gold — Team Bowling
🥈 Silver — Doubles Bowling

Becoming a Two-Time USA Games National Champion is an extraordinary accomplishment. Jordan has made all of Region J and Without Limits – Team Galaxy incredibly proud.

🥎 Softball Update
Our Novas recently hosted the Progress Port Smashers for an exciting scrimmage.
Thank you to the Progress Port Smashers for making the trip and helping both teams prepare for Regional competition. Everyone had a fantastic evening of softball and sportsmanship.

• Next week's practice will be replaced with a scrimmage against PTOEC.

Uniform Reminder

• Wear your gray and purple jersey if you've received one.
• If not, wear your purple practice shirt.
• Otherwise, wear any Without Limits or purple shirt.

Our Traditional Team will play two games while our Coach Pitch Team will play one game.
Please let your coaches know if you'll be attending so we can ensure we have enough players.

A parent meeting will be held during the first practice on July 12. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to attend as we'll discuss the upcoming season, important dates, athlete expectations, volunteer opportunities, and answer any questions.  We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another fantastic bowling season!
